In October 2025, we launched the University of Glasgow’s first Arts & Humanities spin-out, Design Otherwise. Led by Co-Directors Professor Doris Ruth Eikhof and Dr Morven Fraser-Walther (for GU Holdings).
In October 2025, we launched the University of Glasgow’s first Arts & Humanities spin-out, Design Otherwise. Led by Co-Directors Professor Doris Ruth Eikhof and Dr Morven Fraser-Walther (for GU Holdings), Design Otherwise focuses on translating research on inclusion, equity, work and employment into industry and policy practice. The Design Otherwise launch at SWG3 was opened by a welcome from Professor Melanie Simms and a keynote from former ScreenSkills CEO Seetha Kumar. It featured brief presentations from the Design Otherwise projects, including WorkTakes –Good Work for UK film and TV, one take at a time, which is funded by the BFI National Lottery Research and Statistics Fund.
