Remembering Liz Hall

Liz Hall

It is with great sadness that we note the untimely passing of Dr Elizabeth Hall on 27th December.

Liz was born in Ireland in 1952, and came to Scotland as a young child. She completed a degree in Biology at the former Paisley College of Technology, and went on to complete a PhD in Immunology.

Liz worked in research institute administration for many years supporting Professor Leung's work, and latterly also supporting our Institute Health & Safety committees. She retired in August 2015, and relocated to Spain with her husband. Due to ill health they subsequently returned to Scotland. During this time Liz wrote her first novel. One of her great loves was hill-walking.

Liz leaves behind 3 grown-up children, and her first grandchild who was born in 2017.

Dr Sylvia Morrison (Head of Institute Administration)
