Professor Nuran Acur has been elected as President of the European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) for a five-year term.
Professor Nuran Acur has been elected as President of the European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) for a five-year term.
EIASM is a highly respected academic network that brings together more than 90,000 scholars across Europe and beyond.
Professor Acur’s official term as President begins in October 2025, but she is currently in a transition period with the current President, to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of leadership.
Professor Acur, a Professor of Innovation Management and Adam Smith Business School’s Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange, said: “This role aligns closely with my commitment to delivering societal impact through research, particularly in shaping policy at national and international levels and fostering responsible research practices within the fields of innovation management.
“I am especially passionate about supporting early career researchers and PhD students, and helping build capacity within the academic community.
“I feel truly honoured by this appointment and look forward to contributing to the broader research and policy landscape, while also exploring opportunities that can benefit our School research as well as The College of Social Science.”
The EIASM Academic Council includes 70 leading universities and business schools worldwide.
Based in Brussels, EIASM also provides support and infrastructure for eight major European academic associations, including European Academy of Management, European Marketing Academy, European Accounting Association, European Finance Association, and the Eden Doctoral Seminar series.
