ZELS-Associated Studentship Programme

The majority of students in our programme commenced in October 2015, and all students are formally registered at one of the UK partner institutions where they will be subject to the subject-specific and generic graduate training embedded within these institutions:

Students are co-supervised at partner institutions, as appropriate:

In the UK: The Pirbright Institute (TPI), the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA)

In Africa: Nelson Mandela Arican Institute of Science & Technology (NM-AIST, Tanzania), L'Ecole Inter Etats des Sciences et Médecine Vétérinaires (EIMSV, Senegal), Addis Ababa University (AAU, Ethiopia)

In Asia: Chittagong Veterinary & Animal Science University (CVASU, Bangladesh), Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU, Vietnam), University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS, Pakistan)

  • Full payment of tuition fees+ during an award-holder's period of supervised study; and
  • A ring-fenced fund within each studentship budget will be allocated for intensive training, to provide specific individual skills as needed.
