Research interests

Research interests

I am interested in the epidemiology, surveillance and control of zoonotic pathogens. My work is focused on investigating the health, productivity and ecological impacts of endemic bacterial zoonotic diseases across different settings in northern Tanzania. Much of my current research is on brucellosis. I also work on livestock and rodent associated pathogens including Bartonella, Coxiella and Leptospira spp.

The abstract, reprint and full text of the 2017 Science paper "Driving improvements in emerging disease surveillance through locally-relevant capacity strengthening" are available via these links.
