Description

The University of Glasgow is pleased to award a Sir Fitzroy Maclean Postgraduate scholarship available to new students, from one of the eligible countries, for September 2019 entry.

Sir Fitzroy Maclean was a Scottish soldier, author and politician. Awarded an Honorary degree of DLitt from the University in 1969, Sir Fitzroy Maclean had a long relationship with the University before he died in 1996. This scholarship was established with respect to Sir Fitzroy’s interests and passions.

The Scholarship will be awarded as a tuition fee discount and stipend.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible, applicants must:

    • hold an offer of a place for a 1 year, full-time postgraduate taught programme

     

    • Be resident in one of the eligible countries at the time of applying

     

    • Be considered International for fee purposes (or EU, if Croatian)

The award is for one year and must be used in the year of the award; it cannot be deferred or transferred

Students with ‘international’ fee status:
£10,000 tuition fee discount + stipend of £1,500

Students with ‘EU’ fee status (Croatia):
£5,000 tuition fee discount + stipend of £1,500

How to apply

To apply for the scholarship, please complete and submit the online application form before the application deadline of 5pm on 30th April 2019.

Applicants will be advised on the outcome by early June.
