Prudence comes from an agricultural background, hence a fascination with soils. She started with a Diploma in Agriculture then a degree in Agriculture Environment Management followed by a Masters in Environment Protection.

Pru is working on reclamation of vacant and derelict land through decontamination as part of Work Package 3 of the GALLANT project. Pru’s project investigates the potential of Waste Coffee grounds (WCG) in raw and biochar forms to remediate heavy-metal contaminated soils, whilst also mitigating climate change and providing a circular pathway for urban waste.
