Alexander and Dixon Scholarship (Bryce Bequest)

The Bryce Bequest was made by the late Professor John Cameron Bryce in memory of Professor Peter Alexander, former Professor of English Literature at the University of Glasgow, and in memory of Professor W. MacNeile Dixon.

In order to be considered for this award, the University must already have received your application and accepted you - conditionally or unconditionally - for one of the taught Masters MLitt programmes in English Literature by the application deadline. This award is only available to UK applicants.

All applicants who wish to be considered for an Alexander and Dixon Scholarship should send a brief CV (1 page) and a statement (2 pages max) to Critstudies-PGScholarships@glasgow.ac.uk , copying in the English Literature Convenor for Taught Postgraduate Programmes, Dr Dahlia Porter (dahlia.porter@glasgow.ac.uk) by the application deadline below. The submitted documents should detail the applicant's past record and academic achievements; discuss why they wish to pursue postgraduate studies at Glasgow; and explain how an Alexander and Dixon Scholarship would assist them in realising their ambitions. Emails should be headed 'Application: Alexander and Dixon Scholarship- [APPLICANT NAME]'.
