Postgraduate students who graduated on Tuesday 27 November

 

 

Congratulations to all of the 2017-18 graduates of the Msc Psychological Science Conversion Course.  Msc students graduated on Tuesday 27th November.  Special congratulations to Betül Tatar, who was awarded the prize of best overall student performance in the programme by the School of Psychology.  Betül is currently in the first year of her PhD with Dr Esther Papies: http://healthycognitionlab.org

 

Congratulations also to Jack Taylor, who recently attended Glasgow’s graduation ceremony for his Masters degree (with Distinction) in Research Methods of Psychological Science.  Jack is currently in his first year of his PhD, beginning work on this thesis, “Emotion word recognition: Time course and neural correlates.”

Jack is a recipient of the Bellahouston Prize Scholarship from the College of Science and Engineering.  The prize is awarded to a single postgraduate Masters student from the College based on their outstanding academic performance.  Well done, Jack! 

Congratulations to Dr Andrew Morgan for graduating in November with a PhD from the Institute! Andrew studied with Prof Lars Muckli and defended his doctoral thesis earlier this year on “Encoding and Decoding of Cortical Feedback to Human Early Visual Cortex.”

Andrew is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Institute studying the role of cortical layers using the new 7 Tesla MRI system at the Imaging Centre of Excellence. Congrats again, Andrew!
