Biography

I joined the University of Glasgow in 2016 as a Phd student, having previously worked in Clinical Neuropsychology.  Upon completion of my Phd in 2019 I was employed by the University as a post-doc researcher.  I have worked within a number of different departments within the Schools of Health and Wellbeing and Cardiovascular and Metabolic Science.  I have extensive experience of a range of research methodologies including systematic review and meta-analysis, psychometric evaluation, tool development, qualitative analysis, and regression analysis.

Research interests

I am interested in developing and assessing the psychometric properties of diagnostic tools for detecting mood disorders and dementia.  In particular I am interested in developing/assessing tools that can be used in underserved populations who typically struggle to complete more traditional assessments.

I am also interested in identifying potentially modifiable risk factors for dementia.  My current research in this area focuses on the use of anticholinergic medications and investigating the relationship between frailty and cognitive impairment.
