Research Interests

Colin McKay is a pancreatic surgeon in the West of Scotland Pancreatic Unit, Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He has led or contributed to local, national and international trials in acute pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer for more than 25 years and was an early pioneer of minimally invasive approaches to management of acute pancreatitis. He has been clinical lead for the National HPB Cancer Network and is currently Clinical Director for Surgery in North Glasgow. He works closely with colleagues Andrew Biankin and David Chang in developing and implementing Precision-Panc, where it is hoped molecular profiling will guide decision making in pancreatic cancer care.
