The LIFE:TIME research network was founded in November 2016. Coordinated by the University of Glasgow, it brings together researchers from medicine, public health, social science, computer science and engineering working with external researchers, health and public health bodies, third sector organisations particularly those related to sport, and technology companies ranging from small enterprises to large multinational companies. The overall aim is to develop realistic and sustainable lifestyle interventions for the primary and secondary prevention of chronic diseases, taking account of the wider determinants of health with a programmatic multidisciplinary approach, capitalising on emerging technologies and big data, and focusing on inequalities.
