Postgraduate Workshop on Global Environmental History and Climate Change

This event is held under the aegis of Global History at the University of Glasgow and Dear Green Bothy, a six-month programme of public activities and events designed to demonstrate the role played by the arts and humanities in understanding and addressing the climate emergency and marking the arrival of the COP26 conference Glasgow on 1-12 November.

This postgraduate workshop on 28 October will follow from a public-facing online round table, held on the previous day, entitled ‘Global Environmental History and Climate Change’ , in which leading scholars in the field will discuss climate change and global environmental history and explore different approaches. Thisonline workshop, held on Thursday 28 October, 10 am-11.30 am, is aimed at the taught and research postgraduates who attend the previous day’s round table. The workshop led by Dr. Julia McClure (Global History, Glasgow) and will allow students to reflect upon, discuss and raise questions about the conversations of the previous afternoon. Materials to be circulated beforehand will include a pre-recorded lecture.
