The CCSE hosted, for the second year running, the United Kingdom and Ireland Computing Education Research conference from 2nd-3rd September 2021. The conference was hosted entirely online with a combination of Zoom and Discord platforms designed to support both large-scale plenary sessions and the small group discussions which characterise the conference.

The conference comprised of 9 papers, 4 posters, 6 workshops and a keynote presentation from Leo Porter. The conference also launched a new kind of collaborative, multi-institutional project called a Research in Practice Project Activity (RIPPA), with the inaugural project being focused around spatial skills testing on an international scale.

Sessions were well attended with over 70 registrants, making for active discussion tables and chat spaces throughout the conference.
