Bharath Sivan

“I found the IMS course to be one of the most engaging and exciting group project the course had to offer.
Most of the IMS projects students worked on were related to internationalisation or expansion of firms which is very relevant to my IB course.

The project itself requires you to put in all your academic experience from modules taught throughout the year (Business Analysis, Strategy), which makes it even more meaningful. In addition, students are also provided with workshops to help understand and carry out the project. The fact that the outcome of the project can have significant impact to client’s business decisions demanded dedication and accuracy in work from our part. The project was not easy, but throughout the process we received support from project supervisor and the client who guided us during difficult times.

However, in the end it was an amazing experience and one which adds significant value to your CV. According to me, IMS is the magnum opus of my IB course and one which really prepares you for a career in consulting/management.”

“IMS module as a part of my IB degree was without a doubt the most comprehensive and learning part. The possibility of working closely with a real time business and applying the classroom knowledge to real world situations is what, I believe, makes a new trait or knowledge well established in an individual’s personality. Anyone experiencing working on one of such IMS projects is lucky”

“It was far more in-depth than I could have expected and showed a great understanding of a market which was, a few months earlier, totally alien to them. The results were of real value to us as a business and that’s very impressive for a student project.”  Lewis Heath, Director, Paulin Watches

“Working with IMS students, we were able to explore a new market for our products and have made strategic decisions for the company based on their findings.”  Andrew Paliwoda, ADS-B Project Manager Alba Orbital

“It would have taken me months to pull this level of detail given my current workload so it’s really helped expedite our quest to build on our existing US business.”   Billy McPherson, Project Directors, Re-Tek
