PIPS Opportunities at The Company of Biologists
The Company of Biologists is a non-profit organisation that supports scientists, especially those working in biology.
Concentrating on the following areas:
Publishing scientific journals (research papers written by scientists)
Running online community platforms where scientists can share ideas and discuss research
Providing funding, grants, and events to support the scientific community
Their goal is to help scientists share knowledge, collaborate, and advance biology.
They offer PIPs internship that is focused on science communication, not lab work.
During the internship, you would:
- Write articles and posts about scientific topics
- Ask researchers to contribute content (interviews, blogs, etc.)
- Help manage and update the websites
- Support users (help people using the sites)
- Help run social media accounts (posting and engaging with the community)
You’ll be working with experienced editors and community managers, learning how science is communicated online.
