Summary:

This PhD project will explore the experiences of multimorbidity among rural women in Malawi, with a particular focus on whether existing cervical screening services could serve as an entry point for more integrated care for non-communicable disease identification and management. The study will gather information on multimorbidity burden and consider the feasibility of adding additional services in this setting. It will use a mixed-methods approach (1. systematic literature review, 2. survey collection and data analyses in country, 3. qualitative stakeholder interviews), will be developed and carried out in collaboration with local partners. The project is suitable for a candidate interested in global health and applied health services research in low-resource contexts.
