Research title: Copyright Users Rights and Contractual Override
Research Summary
Research Interests
- Right to Repair
- Private Ordering in Copyright Law
- Digital Platform Regulation of Copyright
- User Rights in Digital Copyright Framework
- Contractual Override of Copyright Exceptions
Current Research
My research focuses on the impact of copyright based technological protection measures (TPMs) and the availability of spare parts on the ability to repair consumer electronics. By comparing the regulatory environments of India and the United Kingdom, the research aims to explore how TPMs and limited access to spare parts constrain repair practices and the broader implications of these constraints for innovation, user agency, and the economic livelihood of independent repairers.
