Research title: The Formation and Development of Ethnic Identity
Research Summary
Migration researchers have investigated the patterns and extent of immigrants’ transnationalism, but the literature on second-generation transnationalism has been understudied. This research is going to explore the transnational identity negotiation and (re)construction of second-generation Chinese young people in the UK (aged 16-25), by comparing their experiences of living in Glasgow and London, recognize the factors affecting their transnational identity development, find out about their transnational experiences and language.
