Research title: Quantum Enabled optimisation for future aircraft design
Research summary
The research project will focus on using quantum optimisation methods for flow optimisation
and its application in the aircraft design process. The Focus is on using quantum algorithms in aerodynamic optimisation in a hybrid classical-quantum approach, where the Navier-Stokes equations are solved on a classical computer. In this hybrid approach, the quantum algorithm will take care of the optimisation employing features unique to quantum mechanics.
