Actor Martin Clunes visited the University recently to film at the Weipers Centre for Equine Welfare as part of a new documentary programme about man’s relationship with horses.

The Men Behaving Badly star, who lives on a farm in Dorset and owns seven horses, met with Patrick Pollock, Senior University Clinician in Equine Surgery, and observed an operation taking place.

Filming for the programme, called ‘Horsepower’, follows-on from his popular 2008 two-part documentary ‘Martin Clunes: A Man and His Dogs’, which charted the history of the dog, from wild animal to domesticated pet.
