A new Channel 4 Science Series is scouring the country for the UK's top individuals, be they students, post-grads or lecturers with a lifetime's experience and knowledge, to enter into one of the most advanced set of human challenges so far designed.

Funded by C4 Science, the programme, to be broadcast this autumn, will explore the 15 vital characteristics that make us the most evolved species on the planet, from our ability to create and communicate, to our capacity for survival and endurance. The final 8 selected will compete against one another in a series of some of the most advanced scientific tests to discover the UK's ultimate male and female SUPERHUMANS.

The ideal candidates could either have enormously advanced minds, with many letters after their name, but equally, they could be a fantastic all-rounder, a prize-winner or someone making outstanding achievements, either academically, physically or creatively.
