Message for all staff on Timetabling AY24/25

Academic Year 24/25

As we continue with our multi-year project aimed at enhancing our end-to-end Timetabling process to achieve our end goal of efficient and flexible utilisation of the University teaching estate, and after considering your feedback, we will be making some incremental changes to our approach to timetabling for AY24/25.

Although we will make every effort to accommodate change during this time, we cannot guarantee every change can be supported.

After central rooming in May, we will follow a similar process to last year with a dedicated unroomed events period in June followed by essential changes only.

Find out more about the plans for AY24/25 and keep informed on the Timetabling Project by visiting our Timetabling Microsite.

What do we need from you?

Ahead of next year, Prof. Frank Coton and Prof. Moira Fischbacher-Smith set the scene and share their ask of colleagues to support the Timetabling project.

What's Next?

We will be sharing more detail on the approach for AY24/25 through a series of communications in the new year, including targeted staff roadshows and a townhall event for all staff, ensuring colleagues are aligned on roles and responsibilities.

Effective collaboration and engagement between colleagues across Schools and Colleges will be critical to the success of this initiative and so please look out for updates and take the time to engage when you can.

Thank you for your commitment and continued support across the coming months.
