What can I join?
After Accommodation Services manage your move-in and move-out logistics, Residence Life takes care of the experience side of halls life. This includes activities and support from your first day in halls to your last.
Examples of past activities include:
- Social events such as welcome parties, pumpkin carving and movie nights
- Social responsibility events such as nature walks and conversation halls
- Wellbeing activities such as photography walks and mindfulness sessions
- Trips, including visits to Edinburgh Christmas Market
- Volunteering roles across events, social responsibility and communications
- Training for volunteers
- Surveys to share feedback, often with voucher prizes

Volunteering opportunities
Recruitment for our Halls Activity Team will open during summer for the Academic Year 25/26. Incoming students will receive direct invites to apply, and opportunities will also be shared on our Instagram.
