How to Obtain a Quotation
In co-operation with Veolia, the University has developed a form that you can complete and send to Veolia so as to obtain a quotation for the management and disposal of waste chemicals, this form should also be used if you want to obtain a quote for disposal of batteries. The form is available in the chemical waste section of SEPS web site. Once you have completed the form you may email it as an attachment, fax or post it to:

Tel: 01324 632144

Email: customerservicescotland@veolia.co.uk
The form must contain the following information:
• full name of the management unit that is disposing of the waste and the location (which campus, building etc)
• contact details, including name, telephone number, email and fax information should also be provided.
• an accurate description of the types of batteries to be disposed. Do not use abbreviations
• the total quantity of batteries and the number and size of any containers (e.g. estimated total quantity 50 comprising 2 containers of 25).
Veolia will respond with a quotation for cost and will arrange a suitable uplift date and time.
Veolia has been instructed to co-ordinate uplifts of batteries and chemicals from different departments where it is reasonably practical to do so. As a result, a representative may contact you to discuss the urgency of the disposal. Where the requirement for disposal is not urgent they may recommend that the uplift is delayed in order to co-ordinate with other uplifts. Waste producers that can participate in co-ordinated uplifts will benefit from a reduction in the transport cost element of the overall disposal cost as this is shared on a pro rata basis amongst the participants in the uplift.
Further guidance on dealing with waste batteries can be found on SEPS web site.
