Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) has been a legal requirement in international development research programmes since 2002. Increasingly, it is a requirement for funding programmes of any kind. EDI is an important element to consider for both the research programme and how approaches to EDI are presented in a research proposal. It is important that EDI is woven throughout the programme and the application rather than being confined to an EDI Champion role or the EDI section of a funding proposal.
