New Parent Buddy Network

A new staff network has been launched to support you with growing your family.
Staff: are you a new or expectant parent? The University's Parent Buddy Network offers you peer-support and advice to help you manage childcare issues, workloads and the changes and challenges that come with growing your family. You can find contact details for the volunteer buddies on the Network webpage linked below - feel free to contact any of them for advice.
Similar schemes are in place or planned at School and Research Institute level, particularly in the Colleges of Science & Engineering and MVLS, as part of Athena SWAN activity. This central scheme is designed to supplement local activity and provides a list of potential buddies from all job families.
The Network is keen to grow the list of parent buddies, particularly with more male parents, and in time to expand to include carers.
