UofG researchers benefit from Government funding to develop secure future technologies

Two research groups at Glasgow are among nine grant winners in the Government's Digital Security by Design programme which aims to help the tech infrastructure of UK organisations and digital devices be more resilient to cyber attacks.

The winning research teams will share the £10m investment announced last week.  They include the UofG-led AppControl which will leverage state-of-the-art microprocessors, developed earlier in the programme, to make sure vital systems that could be used in cars, medical robots or nuclear power plants remain digitally secure. This research is led by Professor Wim Vanderbauwhede in the School of Computing Science.

Another of the grant winners is CapableVMs, led by De Laurence Tratt (King's College London) and Dr Jeremy Singer, UofG.
