The 2015-16 pay round has been concluded and University of Glasgow staff will receive pay increases at the end of this month including arrears backdated to 1 August 2015.

The pay award provides a base pay uplift of 1% on all points of the 52 point pay spine, save for the first eight points where larger increases will apply (between 1.2% and 2.65%).

Human Resources Director Christine Barr said: "I am pleased to confirm that four of the five sector trade unions have now concluded the 2015-16 HE pay negotiating round.

"The Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) has confirmed that participating HE institutions are now in a position to implement the pay award following the conclusion of the dispute process effective from 1 August.

"The remaining trade union, the EIS has not been able to settle and proposes to ballot its members with regards to strike action. However, given that we have relatively few members of the EIS, the University intends to implement the pay award to staff in the November salary payment. This is consistent with practice in other higher education institutions in the sector."

The new pay spine will shortly be posted on the HR pages of the University website.
