The University of Glasgow has won a ‘Better Way to Work’ award.

The prize was presented to the University by the Better Way to Work project which works with organisations across Glasgow to promote sustainable travel.

Since the University joined the project, free events for staff have been held twice a year. These included bicycle maintenance workshops, cycle training and travel planning surgeries.

Viola Retzlaff, Travel and Transport Co-ordinator said: “These events were very popular with staff and most were easily booked out.  Due to excellent engagement with these events we were awarded the best internal promotion and take up of BWTW services prize.”

Due to ongoing demand, the University continues to offer cycle training, workshops and bike maintenance sessions.
