Please think before you put your rubbish in the large skips outside Hospitality Services' One A The Square Café and Brasserie.
The University's Hospitality Services team are appealing to staff and students not to misuse the large recycling skips located outside the One A The Square Café and Brasserie.
There are skips provided for restaurant use for glass, mixed recyclables, food and general waste.
Hospitality Services say repeatedly bags of general waste are being put in the glass or recyclable bins. Under the waste recycling legislation introduced last year in Scotland, this condemns the whole container from being recycled as it is deemed 'contaminated'.
The appeal is: please do not put your rubbish bags in those skips without checking to see you are using the right container.
