Speakers needed for the Festival of Sustainability

The Festival of Sustainability organised by the University of Glasgow Sustainable Development Network is back for its third year.

The Festival is an exciting opportunity to exchange creative and innovative ideas around sustainablity as well as hear from a leading figure in the field.

Date  23 June 2015
Time 1-5pm
Venue Senate Room, Main Building, University of Glasgow

Speaker slots

The format will be similar to a Mini-TED-conference are there are still slots available for speakers.

Convey your smart idea in a 5 minute presentation using only 3 slides and the winning presenter will be awarded with an i-Pad Air.

Slots for festival presenters will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

If you would like to present your idea, please email david.wright@glasgow.ac.uk with your name and department/organisation. 

Your ideas can be related to your research but don’t have to be.  Please send slides to the same address by Monday 15 June at the latest.

Feed the world

The Keynote Speech for the event comes from Professor Tim Benton, UK Champion for Global Food Security & Professor of Population Ecology.

He will be addressing the question: ‘Can we feed the world, and do it sustainably?’

The event will conclude with canapés and wine.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are a student, a researcher or an academic.  You can register on Eventbrite as an attendee or as a presenter.
