Want to manage your weight?

The Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC) are looking for volunteers to take part in a study to investigate if a new food ingredient they have developed can help manage your weight.

The food ingredient called inulin propionate ester (IPE) helps control appetite and in initial tests has helped people to eat less and slow weight gain.

They are now looking to optimise the ingredient.

You may be eligible to participate if you are:

  • A healthy male aged 21 – 65
  • Overweight (BMI 25-35 kg/m2)
  • A non-smoker
  • Not taking any medication

On completion of the study, you will be eligible for £100 compensation for your time and support.

All study visits will be carried out at the Clinical Research Facility, Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
