As part of the Royal Society Westminster Pairing Scheme, Dr Isabel Vincent was paired with Carol Monaghan MP (Glasgow North-west). Isabel is a research associate (parasitology) with the Wellcome Trust Centre For Molecular Parasitology / Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, MVLS.

Isabel recently spent a week in London shadowing Carol and talking to a variety of individuals and groups involved in translating science into policy.

The second part of this scheme involves the MP visiting the institution of the scientist they were paired with, and Carol will be visiting the Wellcome Trust Centre For Molecular Parasitology early in the New Year.
