University of Glasgow veterinary medicine student Laura Muir placed 5th in the women’s 1500m event at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.
Congratulations to University of Glasgow veterinary medicine student and lead sports bursar Laura Muir for placing 5th in her first-ever global final in the women’s 1500m event at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.
Laura took to Twitter to express her delight:
She wrote: "5th in the WORLD!!! So happy with my run last night! Delighted with my season this year, thank you for the support!"
Laura clocked 4:11.48 to finish behind world record holder Genzebe Dibaba, Commonwealth champion Faith Kipyegon, European champion Sifan Hassan and Ethiopia's Dawit Seyaum.
