Theses can be helpful for your studies, as examples of formatting, or to gauge the level of research in a particular academic area.
Electronic/digital copies of University of Glasgow Theses via Enlighten
Since 2007/08 thesis submissions by University of Glasgow staff and students have been accompanied by a digital copy. In addition, many theses submitted before these dates have now been digitised. The access portal for digital copies is:
In most cases this digital copy can be downloaded in full, however, some may be unavailable due to copyright restrictions or where the author has requested an embargo on access for a period of time. Where a digital copy of a thesis is not available, and there are no access restrictions in place, a print copy may be consulted.

Many UK theses are now available via EThOS. You need to register to use this service but it’s free.

Top tip: Where a digital copy is not available from a database, US theses are often available for download from the research repository of the home institution.
Thesis not available?
If the UK thesis you want is not freely available through EThOS or if you need an international thesis, then Log into your Library Account and click on the "Request a Thesis" link under "Request items not held by this Library". Theses requested via EThOS that require to be scanned can take up to 30 days to complete digitisation and delivery.
Where this is possible it can take up to 30 days to complete digitisation and delivery. Please note, Oxford and Cambridge Universities do not make theses available electronically or for loan.
