Electronic Copies
Since 2007, UofG theses have included a digital copy, with many earlier theses also digitised. Most are available for full download, though some may be restricted by copyright or embargo. If no digital copy exists and access is unrestricted, a print copy can be consulted. For access, contact theses@gla.ac.uk.
Print Copies
This search also holds information about some but not all electronic/digitised theses.
Where available, a print copy may be consulted. Borrowing of print University of Glasgow thesis is not permitted.

UK Theses
Many UK theses were previously available through the British Library’s EThOS service, which is currently offline but expected back in 2025.
In the meantime, you have several options:
University repositories: Most UK universities require electronic submission. Search Google using the thesis title, author, and university name.
British Library catalogue: Use Advanced search and select Theses under Material Type. Available online means a direct link is provided; Should be available means no e-version exists yet.
Library request: You can request a UK thesis through your Library account, and we will attempt to source a copy.
