Library Research Support

Research at Glasgow is supported by Library teams including College Librarians, Archives and Special Collections, Research Information Management and Enlighten.

These teams collaborate to assist researchers at every stage of the research lifecycle, aligning with University-level research priorities and offering tailored support for each College. We can help with:

  • Resource acquisition (books, journals, databases etc.)
  • Developing and promoting the Library’s collections
  • Information literacy guidance
  • Systematic review (MVLS, CoSS)
  • Open access
  • Research data management
  • Bibliometrics and altmetrics
  • Artificial intelligence tools
  • Copyright and rights issues
  • Using our archives and special collections
  • Sign posting to other Library or Information Services teams

Each College is supported by a named College Librarian or Librarians who can help you with many of the areas above or can direct you to the relevant specialist team.
