Install the bookmarking extension to your browser

To add resources to your list, you must install the Bookmarking Extension to your browser. The extension allows you to harvest resource metadata automatically from the Library webpages or from the web, which include links to reading list items, such as print books, book chapters, e-books, print and e-journal articles, audio-visual material, and websites.

The extension is currently available for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari.

  1. Sign in to Reading Lists @ Glasgow
  2. Select the My Bookmarks tab on the navigation bar
  3. Select Install Bookmarking Extension
  4. Follow the instructions, these will change depending on the web browser you are using.

More detailed installation instructions for your browser can be found on the Talis website.

When you find resources you would like to include in your reading list, you simply choose the Bookmarking Extension and the resource is added to your reading list.

When you bookmark a title, it is saved in My Bookmarks in the main site navigation bar and can be used and reused on as many lists as you like.
