The University of Glasgow Library is pleased to announce the 2026 Visiting Research Fellows. This year’s cohort brings together established and emerging scholars from universities across the UK, Europe, Australia and North America, each drawn to Glasgow by the breadth, depth and international significance of the Library’s special collections and archives.

Their projects span an impressive range of subjects, including classical reception, the history of medicine, business and economic history, Syriac manuscript culture, women’s political activism, Victorian natural history, and global corporate governance. Together, these research areas demonstrate how the Library’s collections inspire innovative, interdisciplinary scholarship with worldwide impact.

We look forward to welcoming the Fellows to Glasgow and to supporting the insights, discoveries and collaborations that will emerge from their time working with our collections.
