Near-peer mentoring at the School of Chemistry

Near-peer mentoring to build community and develop self-efficacy in Level 2 undergraduate chemistry students

Redesigning an Interactive Teaching Unit at the School of Chemistry

Staff partnered with two students who had recently completed the ITUs to redesign the unit, with the aim of improving student engagement, inclusivity and perceptions of value.

Direct Peer-Assessment at the School of Chemistry

This partnership sought to redesign the assessment of practical laboratory skills by introducing a peer-observation approach within a Level 1 Chemistry laboratory module.

Decolonising course content and assessment methods

This project sought to address Eurocentric biases within the IESR course by incorporating perspectives from the Global South and historically marginalised communities. Its aim was to improve representation, contextual relevance and inclusivity across the course content, assessment methods and feedback practices.
