Course & Programme Portfolio Review Project
Course and Programme Portfolio Review (CPPR)
As part of the Learning & Teaching Strategy 2026-2036, the University is dedicated to providing a meaningful, curated choice of degree progammes for our students.
At present, student experience is being impacted by the size and shape of our course portfolio.
By reducing the number of degree programmes, we will improve the student learning experience and create space for innovation and growth, while protecting the breadth and diversity of our academic offering.
To support this, Course and Programme Portfolio Review (CPPR), a College-led, centrally enabled project, has been established to coordinate this effort across two workstreams:
- Portfolio Review: Review existing programme data, develop guiding principles around portfolio review and create a reporting process to create the foundation for a more coherent, sustainable programme choice for students.
- Portfolio Refinement: Simplify our regulations to align with the SCQF and define UG and PGT degree programme archetypes to deliver a more coherent, sustainable programme choice for students.
