A computational software program used in many scientific, engineering, mathematical and computing fields, based on symbolic mathematics.
Install on your device
- Free individual licenses are available to all staff and students for personal use
- For both staff and students, please follow the installation guidance
Installing Mathematica
- visit the Wolfram website to start the installation steps
- type in your University e-mail address
- select the required operating system from the drop down list (will automatically start downloading installation file in your web browser)
NB: on requesting a download, you will receive an e-mail introducing you to Cloud Services. Please note, the University's license does not currently cover this functionality, so after the 60-day trial use of cloud services they will be illegal.

Requirements and Guidelines
When choosing to use Mathematica via this agreement there are some requirements and guidelines, that are summarised here:
- you may not transfer, sell or copy the software or the associated license
- the Software should be appropriately cited as a reference and/or described in methods in publications
