If you are planning an event such as a conference it is possible to obtain insurance which can protect budgeted costs or revenue should an event be cancelled for certain reasons beyond the control of the University. An example of the cover available can be found on the right hand side of this page.
The University doesn't currently purchase University-wide event insurance. However, it is possible to arrange this cover for a specific event. The cost for this would be met by the school/institute or service requesting the cover.

Please note you don't need to complete the sections of the form headed up Employers' & Public Liability Insurances. The University's existing arrangements provide cover this.

Event Insurance should be arranged as soon as possible after the arrangements for the conference have been made.
