Provenance: Rauf Veniste (17th century):  motto and ownership inscription in lower margin of  1/2r “In magnis et voluisse sat est Rauf veniste gratis” and in upper margin “In Virtute benesce [Veniste’s monogram]”;  signature repeated on 5/7v (f. 41v) “Rauf veniste”.

Annotations: Frequent underlining and “nota” marks;  pointing hand on 4/7r (f. 33r);  a largely erased annotation (18th-century shelfmark?) on verso of front free endpaper.
Decoration: Four-line initial “V” on 1/2r supplied in brown ink;  single paragraph mark supplied in red on 1/2v.
Imperfections: Wanting the first blank leaf.
