William Euing (1788-1874) insurance broker, Glasgow:  source unknown;  acquired 15 Aug. 1859 according to Euing’s pencil note “15.8.59” on front pastedown, together with his acquisition number “No 528” and the number “1975”.
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: 19th-century calf (rebacked), decorated with a single gold fillet;  red-edged leaves.   Size:  198 x 142 mm.
Leaf size: 193 x 138 mm.
Annotations: Frequent early marginal annotations in Latin;  number “884/3” in ink (19th century) on front pastedown.
Decoration: Initials supplied in red in gatherings a and b (offsetting of colouring of two initials from a8r to a1v);  some capital strokes and paragraph marks supplied in red in the same gatherings together with red underlining.
Imperfections: Wanting c8 and l5.
