William Bell (16th century):  inscription on a2v “Wyllmo Bell”.
John Billing (16th century):  inscription on [con]1r “John Byllyng haveth thys boke”.
Augustus Frederick (1773-1843), Duke of Sussex: armorial bookplate on front pastedown with ink shelfmark “BB.b.9”;  lot 2470 ('Okkam quodlibeta, damaged, Par. 1487 ...’) in 'Bibliotheca Sussexiana.   Catalogue of the ... library of ... the late Duke of Sussex.   Part I ...' (1844);  sold for £0.13.0 according to the annotated copy of the sale catalogue in University of Glasgow Library (shelfmark BD17-e.15).

Binding: Full brown morocco by Douglas Cockerell & Son, May 1965, replacing an 18th-century brown sheep binding;  binder’s note tipped onto rear free endpaper; sample from original cover and fragment of date label mounted on inside of rear board;  earlier red-sprinkled edging of leaves retained.   Size:  200 x 140 mm.
Leaf size: 190 x 128 mm.

Decoration: Initials supplied in red throughout.
Imperfections: Wormholes in most gatherings with some damage to text in the earlier section.
