Binding: France, 18th-century red morocco, covers bordered with triple gold fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner, and triple gold fillets form a centre panel with a separate diamond-shaped floral ornament at each outer corner;  gold-tooled spine;  marbled endpapers;  gilt edged leaves;  green silk bookmark.   Size:  223 x 160 mm.
Leaf size: 216 x 152 mm.
Annotations: Brief marginal inscription in an early hand on 2/2r (f.12r);  pointing hand on 10/3r (f.93r);  leaves foliated in ink in lower right-hand corner “1”-“93” in an 18th-century hand from 1/8 onwards.
Decoration: On 1/8r a six-line initial “V” (in error for “M”) is supplied in heavily faded red ink with pen-work decoration.
