Dr. Joseph Letherland ... which will be sold by auction, by Samuel Baker ... on Thursday, March the 14th 1765 ...' [London:  1765].

Binding: 18th-century calf;  sprinkled red-edged leaves.   Size:  397 x 280 mm.

Annotations: Frequent marginal annotations in several 15th/16th-century hands;  occasional “nota” marks, underlining and pointing hands;  three large outline letters roughly drawn in pencil “n d p(?)”;  heavily obliterated inscription on 36/8v (f. 308v);  18th-century code in ink “3-0 / 1/3” on rear free endpaper.
Decoration: Seven-line initial “N” on 1/2r supplied in gold and blue with reserved white and embellished with black and red pen-work;  other initials supplied in red throughout (occasionally in red and reserved white);  occasional guide-letters in brown ink;  paragraph marks in red throughout.
Imperfections: Wanting the first blank leaf.
