Binding: France, 18th-century red morocco decorated with triple gold fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner;  gold-tooled spine;  marbled endpapers;  gilt-edged leaves;  turquoise silk bookmark.   Size:  288 x 205 mm.

Annotations: 18th-century shelfmark “Q.2.” in ink on a2r.
Decoration: Seven-line initial “C” on a2r supplied in blue with white tracery on a square gold ground, the body of the initial filled with entwined branches and leaves in purple and blue;  principal initials supplied in blue and gold with red and blue pen-work embellishment;  other initials and paragraph marks supplied in blue or red;  running book numbers “I”-“XVIII” in red and blue up to gathering kk.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaf a1.
